Adriano kept his promise after last weeks shenanigans which led to his losing 40% of his pay due to his bad behavior. Adriano scored twice in Sao Paulo’s victory over Chile’s Audax Italiano by a score of 2-1. Audax scored first on a goal by Carlos Villanueva in the second half, but "The Emperor" Adriano scored soon after to secure the win.

CIn other results Former Manchester United player Juan Sebastian Veron scored the equalizing goal for Estudiantes de La Plata on their way to defeating Uruguay’s Danubio 2-1. Arsenal of Argentina (Not the Gunners in England you silly people. Made you look didn’t I?) lost 6-0 to Brazilian Fluminense goals were scored by Thiago Neves, Dodó (2), Gabriel, Washington, and Cícero.

Tonight’s Copa Libertadores games:

Nacional (Uruguay) vs Flamengo (Brazil) @ 4:00 pm
Boca Juniors (Argentina) vs Atlas (Mexico) @ 6:20 pm
Atletico Nacional (Colombia) vs Luqueño (Paraguay) @ 9:00 pm

On Wednesday I saw how always controversial Chicago Fire and Mexican National Team player Cuahtemoc Blanco accused promoters Guillermo Lara and Carlos Hurtado of being the cancer of Mexican Futbol. Turns out "Temoc" claims these two promoters take players of no consequence to clubs and offer bribes in order to get these players on a team. This is what is killing Mexican Futbol. I imagine this happens in just about every league in America. It’s the way business is done and I wouldn’t be surprised if that is also what happens here in the States and Europe.
