The Final 8 in Copa Libertadores is set with Sao Paulo, Fluminense and Santos from Brazil, Boca Juniors and San Lorenzo of Argentina, Atlas and America of Mexico, and Liga of Ecuador meeting to see who will remain and move on to the next stage.
It all begins tonight when Boca Juniors receives Mexico’s Atlas in Buenos Aires and here are my predictions…
I have to go with Boca on this one. They are just too good and though the Mexican side is a great team as well, I just don’t see how Riquelme, Palacio and Palermo can go wrong
The following game is an all out Brazilian Elimination as Sao Paulo meets Fluminense. I’m going to go with Sao Paulo on this one. It’s more of a guess then anything. Brazilian teams are just awesome so whoever wins this series could be in the final.
On Thursday San Lorenzo receives Liga of Quito and though I must say San Lorenzo could be considered a better team on paper I’ll have to go with Liga as they play in the altitude and so far this year they have been unstoppable up there.
Finally America meets Santos of Brazil. After America’s incredible performance last week I have to think they can pull off another miracle and move on to the next stage.
